Spyware

Spyware is a type of software that is installed onto a victim's machine without the consent of the owner. Spyware monitors/records the user's activity on a computer and often relays this information to a third party. Unfortunately, sometimes these third parties will sell the data collected for a profit. This comes at the cost of the confidentiality of the user.
